I'm thinking of going paperless. Why should I waste the effort to establish a system with my paper documents?

The “system” in electronic records is likely to closely mirror the same system you use for your paper records. If you don’t have a clear idea of how your current documents should be classified and sorted, you won’t know how the same documents, in electronic format, should be classified or sorted either. As the saying goes “Garbage in, garbage out.”

My records and files are so old, I'm afraid there may be damage from moisture and mildew. Is there anything you can do?

With proper handling, many damaged records can be reclaimed. The typical damage encountered in records storage is well within the scope of MRM Services. If your records have suffered a disaster, MRM Services will help you locate an appropriate document restoration service.

I just have a few problem areas; there are other areas of my office I don't want changed.

Every client is different -- you just tell me what kind of problem you are having, what’s bothering you, and we’ll tackle that. The job will be tailored to suit your individual needs.

How can someone else set up a filing system for me? Don't I need to tell you how it should be arranged?

I certainly want to discuss all of your ideas about your files and records, but if you don't have a clue where or how to start, that’s not a problem at all. I’ll spend plenty of time talking with you before deciding on a suitable method. No matter what the business, certain patterns begin to emerge from the records, and this will dictate how your files should be arranged.
